Over a career that spanned 14 years Spence worked as a Certified Personal Trainer, fitness manger and general manager. Leveraging his professional fitness and nutrition experience led to an appearance on the nationally televised NBC television program “Food Fighters” where he defeated some of the best chefs in the world.
Chef Will Spencer is a native Washingtonian who attended Archbishop Carroll High earning All American honors as a two- way athlete. He accepted a full football scholarship to play at Syracuse University and finished his playing career at Jackson State University. After college Spence began his career in law enforcement however, after realizing this was not his path, Spence went back to school and graduated from the Connecticut School of Broadcasting with an emphasis in Sports Journalism. After a stint at ESPN Radio 980, the former college football player established a presence within the fitness Industry.
Spence studied culinary arts at the Art Institute of Las Vegas and completed his Personal Chef Certification with at IAP College. Spence is also a certified Nutrition Coach with National Academy of Sports Medicine. He is currently continuing his education with the American Culinary Federation. Chef Spence focuses on healthy and locally sourced meals that are as nourishing as they are delicious. He is currently the personal chef for some of the DC areas premier athletes and fitness enthusiasts.
